In 2010, a fire destroyed our founder Daan's home in Amsterdam. He suddenly had to rely on the people around him for everything. A place to sleep, things to use. What surprised him wasn't just the generosity. It was that asking for help actually made his relationships stronger. That simple idea became Peerby.
